The time has come to begin introducing our staff to all our customers and followers on social media. First up is Geoff Gauldin, the Superhero CEO and founder of 3essentials.
Q. What do you like about your job and being a small business owner?
I love that I can wear many different hats. One minute I will be assisting a technician, and the other attending a meeting. I enjoy interacting with 3essentials staff and sometimes just listening to interesting hallway conversation. There are many other things I enjoy about 3essentials; it’s not a job to me rather a passion that I have to see 3essentials grow, change and become something that is part of my life, and the lives of our customers and staff – the 3essentials Team. Maybe like a football team? We have so many positions, strategies and drives to get us where we all want to be. Hmmm… would I be the coach or the Quarter back?
Q. If you didn’t own 3e what would you want to do? I would own 3e. It’s ironic on many levels. My Father worked for himself, so did my Grandfather (on my mother’s side). I feel as though I’m destined to run a company, or at least work for myself. Starting out in my career I did enjoy the places that I worked at prior to starting 3essentials.
Q. When you aren’t at work, what do you like to do?
Right now I have two young children. An 8 yr. old boy and 5 yr. old girl. I spend almost all non-3e time with my family. My son is getting started in sports, so I spend time exercising with him, swim at our community pool, play UNO. My daughter is starting dance soon, so I’m positive I’ll be attending dance stuff 😉
I’m sure I’ll find another hobby once they’re in their Teens and want more solo time, but now I’m having a blast being a dad, teaching and learning from my children.
Q. If you could have one superhero power, what would it be?
What? I’m already a superhero. Super Dad! I surprise my children all the time with my abilities. Since I know what this question is asking, I will choose the ability to fly. Travel would be awesome! Easy commute.
Q. What’s your favorite techie toy? Tablet? Phone? Software?
Currently it’s my Windows 8 Nokia Lumia Phone.
